This week the students spent a great deal of time learning how to open their locks, finding their way to 'Expressive Arts' and getting to know their teachers.
Today in math, we took a diagnostic assessment of basic math skills, danced the 'Cha Cha Slide' and started going over our classroom policies and expectations.
The students have a homework-free long weekend, a rare happening in 6 blue math.
Next week will bring the distribution of Every Day Math Reference books, a scavenger hunt and lessons in Number Sense.
