Line graphs and more mean

Today the class worked with finding a missing piece of data when given all but one piece of the data, and the mean. This is a bit challenging, as it involves some algebraic thinking, but we will keep working on it!
Except for B class (we ran out of time!), we also reviewed creating and interpreting line plots. One question on the homework asks about 'constant rate'. A constant rate is shown by a straight line with no breaks or curves in it. ( We will get to this Friday B block!)

Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab in the library, working on coordinate planes and plotting points, so that our robot doesn't blow up! Fun!

Homework:

Ws. P. 17 and 19 (this is a two-sided worksheet on mean and line plots)

B-block: You only have to complete p. 17 (the one on mean)

The quiz on our data unit is coming up on Tuesday, October 6, so please plan accordingly. **(If you need extra help on any concept in our data unit, please plan to come in any morning after 8, or this Thursday (tomorrow) after school for extra help.)
