E and F: In these classes, we worked on listing factors and multiples and finding numbers that are 'abundant', 'deficient' and 'perfect'.

Prime Factorization and LCM/GCF word problems

E and F: We worked on word problems using GCF and LCM to solve them.

LCM and Prime Factorization

B and C Blocks worked on more upside down division and determining the LCM of two numbers.
E and F Blocks continued using upside down division to determine the prime factorization of a number. Remember, the prime factorization is like the finger print of a number!!

Today we worked on divisibility rules in all classes, and in E and F we also worked on the Sieve of Eratosthenes.

Factors Fit Into

Today we worked with factors, and played the Factor Game against the teacher. Yes, B block did beat me!!! Ouch!!

Computer Lab

We were in the computer lab for our math class today. We took a quick look at the factor game, and tried to develop strategies to 'beat' the computer at the game! Be thinking about your strategies, because tomorrow you will have a chance to challenge a human opponent.



Homework:
Clean out the 'daily work and notes' section of your binder. Please place all of that work in a folder and keep it at home. We may need to take a second look at some of those papers later in the year, so please don't lose them.
